pin360 + CAFM: Spatial Inspection Evidence for Facilities Teams

Your CAFM system tracks assets, work orders, and compliance tasks. pin360 gives each task a spatial evidence layer — 360° photos and defects pinned to the floor plans FM teams already navigate.

Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) and Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) are the operational backbone for many FM teams: assets, planned maintenance, reactive jobs, and compliance registers live in platforms like FMS:Workplace, Planon, MRI Software, Archibus, or ServiceNow Facilities. These systems excel at workflow, assignment, and asset registers — but they rarely provide interactive 360° inspection evidence anchored to PDF floor plans.

pin360 is designed as a lightweight evidence layer that sits alongside CAFM rather than replacing it. After a condition survey, compliance walk-through, or post-works verification, the FM team shares a pin360 link (or embeds it where the CAFM portal allows external URLs). Reviewers click a location on the plan and see the full 360° context from that inspection — without re-keying photos into the CAFM attachment library as disconnected flat files.

There is no native pin360 CAFM connector today. The integration pattern is deliberately simple: export or reference the building PDF, complete the inspection in pin360, paste the share link into the CAFM work order, asset record, or handover document. For portals that support iframe embeds of trusted HTTPS URLs, the same link can be embedded in a CAFM custom page or knowledge article.

How It Works

1

Export the floor plan from CAFM or your drawing archive

Download the current floor plan PDF from your CAFM document store, O&M manual, or building file. Use the same drawing revision the FM team references for asset locations and zone codes.

2

Create the inspection record in pin360

Upload the PDF, walk the building (or receive surveyor output), and pin 360° panoramas and severity findings to each location. Add notes that reference CAFM asset IDs or zone names where helpful.

3

Copy the share link

Generate a view-only share link from pin360. No viewer account is required — suitable for contractors, auditors, and building users who do not have CAFM licences.

4

Attach the link in CAFM

Paste the URL into the relevant work order, planned maintenance task, compliance record, or building handover pack in your CAFM/IWMS system. Treat pin360 as the spatial photo appendix to the operational record.

5

Optional: embed in a CAFM portal page

If your CAFM or intranet supports iframe embeds of external HTTPS content, embed the pin360 share URL in a building information page. Test with your IT security policy — many FM teams use link-out rather than iframe for simpler governance.

Try it with your CAFM / IWMS drawings. Upload a PDF free — no hardware, no commitment.

Common Use Cases

Post-handover building condition records for FM onboarding
Compliance inspection evidence linked to CAFM work orders
Reactive maintenance — show exactly where the leak or defect was found
Auditor and client walk-through without a second site visit
Contractor verification after remedial works

Frequently Asked Questions

Not via API today. pin360 integrates with CAFM workflows through PDF floor plans and share links: complete the inspection in pin360, then attach or embed the link in your CAFM work order, asset, or handover record. This keeps FM systems as the workflow source of truth while pin360 holds spatial photo evidence.
